Basalt mesh 1.2 mm, mesh 25*25, roll width 100 cm, length 50 meters
Mesh made of basalt fiber, formed from two systems of threads, knitted together by a third - knitting thread and impregnated with polymer binders.
Basalt mesh, the price of which is much more favorable than metal, is produced and supplied under our own brand "UAP". You can buy masonry mesh from us, which is manufactured on high-tech equipment.
The mesh can also be used in chemical industry enterprises, in agriculture, in places with a humid or aggressive environment.
Basalt mesh is used for reinforcing the masonry of blocks on glue.
Allows you to maintain the thickness of the adhesive joint within 1.5 mm.
Replaces a 4 mm metal mesh.
Unfortunately, recently, some unscrupulous sellers, taking advantage of the customer's lack of information and significant external similarity of products, offer a fiberglass mesh instead of a basalt mesh. The reason is that the glass mesh is somewhat cheaper than the basalt mesh due to the lower cost of raw materials, but it has a number of significant disadvantages:
1. The glass mesh is not resistant to the alkaline environment of concrete, which means that in a couple of years there will be no trace of it left in the masonry, it will dissolve. That is, you will pay money for air, while the basalt mesh will reliably perform its function throughout the entire period of operation.
2. Having poor adhesion to concrete, the glass mesh literally walks in the hardened solution, while the reinforcement function is in great question.
3. With a melting point of about 150 degrees, the glass mesh is not resistant to high temperatures, which significantly affects the fire-resistant properties of the structure. At the same time, the melting point of basalt is about 1400 degrees.
How to distinguish a basalt mesh from a glass one?
Slightly fluff up the edge of the mesh and pay attention to the color of the fiber: basalt fiber will have a greenish tint, while glass fiber will be white!
